Daily Writing Prompt 1 (Metaphor)
Coffee. Since I was younger, I've never liked bitter tasting drinks, but it was freshman year of High school, I fell in love with coffee. Could it be because of the smell or the bitter taste? I still haven't figured it out. There are numerous ways to make different kinds of coffee, some can be made with hot water, whipping coffee, some need filtering- depending on your liking of it. Sometimes, I'd wondered if coffee is like life. There are numerous ways to make different kinds of coffee as there are numerous choices/decisions we make in our everyday life. Every morning, I have to choose what kind of cup I want to drink my coffee in. This morning, I chose a cup that has texture that feels soft, smooth and welcoming to hold. It also looks beautiful. Surely, the coffee in this particular cup tastes no different than any other cup. Then I had to decide whether I want hot coffee or cold- I decided that I will go with iced coffee for today.
